Join us for a fun and creative sewing workshop where you’ll make the beautiful Crescent Tote by Noodlehead — a stylish and practical bag that’s perfect for everyday use.
During this hands-on class you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of constructing the bag, from cutting out your fabric pattern pieces and working with interfacing to assembling the outer bag, lining and handles. The Crescent Tote features a lovely curved shape and useful pockets, making it both functional and elegant.
This workshop is a great opportunity to build your bag-making skills while creating a bag you’ll be proud to carry or gift.
With small class sizes and plenty of individual support, you’ll enjoy a relaxed and friendly sewing day at The Makers Studio and go home with your very own handmade Crescent Tote.

Workshop Information
What you'll learn
- How to cut and prepare fabrics for bag making
- Working with interfacing and stabilisers to give your bag structure
- Constructing the outer bag and lining
- Making 2 zipper pockets
- Adding and positioning pockets
- Attaching bag handles neatly and securely
- Assembling the bag and finishing it with a clean professional look
You’ll also pick up lots of helpful tips for sewing thicker fabrics and achieving beautiful results when making bags.

What supplies you need
We have a range of kits which include everything you need to make your Crescent Tote available at Beyond The pink Door

- Exterior fabric (cotton canvas, cotton twill or similar medium-weight fabric)
- Lining fabric (cotton or cotton blend)
- Webbing for the handles
All fabrics and supplies are available to purchase from Beyond the Pink Door, and workshop participants receive 20% off any supplies needed for the class.
Class Size
Workshops are kept intentionally small to ensure everyone receives individual support.
Maximum class size: 6 participants
This small group setting allows plenty of one-to-one guidance throughout the day.
Skill Level
This class is suitable for confident beginners and intermediate sewists.
You should be comfortable using a sewing machine and have completed a few simple sewing projects. Some sewing experience is helpful, but no previous bag-making experience is required.
